Panelist Bios: 

Dr. LeAnn M. Brown serves as Chief Leadership Officer at the Post Rock Leadership Institute and Chair of the Thomas School of Global Leadership at Mid-America Christian University. She holds a Ph.D. in Global Leadership (Organizational Management) from the Indiana Institute of Technology and is a certified senior human resources professional. LeAnn and her husband, Jerod, are the co-founders of The Well - Center for Hope, a nonprofit coffee shop in WaKeeney focused on community connection and mental health advocacy.

Ruth Schiller Bealer is a native to Western Kansas and her Human Resources work has spanned Kansas from Lawrence, KS to the Western Kansas border, and into Eastern Coloardo. Ruth’s Human Resources Management background includes experience in both the private and public sector. She has over 20 years of experience in human resources, including roles in the corporate arena, and small and mid-size employers. Ruth has knowledge depth in employment law, performance management, developing culture, labor relations, training, organizational development and recruitment. Ruth has owned and operated her own human resources consulting company, HR Success Live. Ruth’s education is a B.S. Degree in Human Resources Management. Ruth is now retired and continues to mentor young professionals as they establish their careers in human resources. During her career, Ruth held her SHRM-SCP Certification, SPHR Certification, Six Sigma Green Belt, and Organizational Training Certification.

Liesel Sims-Staab is a HR leader to the professional community in Western Kansas. A double graduate of Fort Hays State University, she earned her B.A. in Management in 2018 followed by an MBA with a concentration in HR Management in 2019.  Liesel began her career with Midland Marketing in 2016 and has served as their Human Resources Director since 2019, where she oversees strategic people operations for the organization. Beyond her daily role, she is an advocate for the HR profession; she served on the Western Kansas SHRM Board of Directors from 2021 to 2024 and led the chapter as President for the 2022 and 2023 terms.
