Kyle B. Russell, Partner at Husch Blackwell, joins us to cover foundational best practices in performance management, disciplinary action, and employee terminations. This presentation also includes a brief overview of Kansas’s new statute on non-solicitation clauses, equipping HR teams with the legal insights needed to navigate sensitive employment matters effectively and compliantly.
Kyle Russell is a Partner at Husch Blackwell in Kansas City, specializing in labor and employment law. With over 20 years of experience, he advises clients on everything from litigation defense to preventative strategies, including training and policy development. Kyle is a frequent speaker at SHRM events and has a strong background in handling complex employment issues such as wage and hour disputes, discrimination claims, and restrictive covenants. His in-house experience at H&R Block gives him a practical understanding of HR challenges, and he’s known for his collaborative, solutions-focused approach. Kyle also serves as the current Government Affairs Director for the Kansas SHRM Council.
